The end of the year has always been hectic for me, whether it’s work life or personal life. That’s why I missed a couple of launches last month. But I’m slowing catching up and still plan to share them here, as most of them are permanent collections. First up I’d like to share the November Little Box of Horrors. Theme of the month is “Heavy Metal Bands”. I have offerings from Lemming Lacquer and LynB Designs to show you.
Dragula｜Lemming Lacquer
Lemming Lacquer took the theme a little bit differently this month by bringing colors inspired by musics from Cassie’s Halloween playlist. Dragula is a purple to red to copper multichrome with green to copper to gold shifting flakes, shown in 3 coats. This is inspired by Dragula by Rob Zombie, and it is one of Cassie’s (several) favorites! I love all the giant flakies in this one.

Blood on Her Skin, Dripping with Sin｜Lemming Lacquer
Next up, Blood On Her Skin, Dripping With Sin is a blackened purple with multichrome shimmer shifting fuchsia, purple, copper, and gold, and holographic microflakes. Shown in 2 coats. This one is my favorite of the quad. I absolutely love the holographic shimmers. Inspiration of this one is Living Dead Girl by Rob Zombie. This was the first song by Rob Zombie that Cassie heard as a child and has always loved the lyrics.

Burn the Witch｜Lemming Lacquer
Burn the Witch is a smoky gray crelly with red-orange iridescent flakes and red copper cold multichrome flakes. Shown in 2 coats. Inspiration is Burn the Witch by Queens of Stone Age. I’m pleasantly surprised by the opacity. It applies very well and the coverage is great on 2 coats. It’s like fire on the nails!

Crossroad Blues｜Lemming Lacquer
Crossroad Blues is a black jelly with orange aurora shimmer. Shown in 2 coats, but is almost a one-coater. Inspiration is Crossroad Blues by Robert Johnson. The story behind Robert Johnson is that he went to a crossroad and made a deal with the devil to be the best guitar man alive. It would be a bit streaky, but not so much that I find hard to work with.

Rainbow in the Dark｜LynB Designs
Last but not least, from LynB Designs, Rainbow in the Dark is green base with pink to orange to yellow shifting shimmer and aqua glow in the dark. Shown in 3 coats. This color is so pretty! I adore the shifting shimmers.

Little Box of Horrors is a monthly collaboration for indie nail polishes, with themes inspired by horror, paranormal, supernatural, sci-fi, and mystery. Based in the US, the shop is run by two indie nail polish brand owners, Paradox Polish and Wicked Lacquer. The shop opens from the 22nd to the 30th of every month for pre-order. Monthly theme of the following year will be submitted and voted by Facebook group members every September. Makers will then create a shop exclusive item based on the theme.
