It’s official! Halloween is coming to PPU every September! Due to popular request, Polish Pickup officially announced “PPUWeen”, which means the theme for every September from now on will be Halloween. Halloween is a lot of people’s favorite holiday. Although I personally don’t have a habit of celebrating, it’s not in my culture, but I’ve always loved how the festivity brings so many fun and interesting colors. So, let’s get right to the swatches of some PPUWeen shades, shall we?

Deja Vu｜Lemming Lacquer
Lemming Lacquer’s offering this month is Deja Vu, a blackened red-violet base with fiery red-to-orange-to-yellow shimmer, and green-to-blue-to-violet magnetic pull. Deja Vu is inspired by what Maddening Multiverse (Aug 2025 PPU) would look like in a different universe; it’s an inverse of Maddening Multiverse. It is shown in 2 coats, with the pointer and ring finger in cat-eye style, middle finger and pinkie unmagnetized, and thumb in velvet style. It reminds me of Odds Bodkins! from the Halloween 2023 collection, so I’ve included my swatches in the back.

The Ghoul Next Door｜LynB Designs
LynB Designs’ offering this month is The Ghoul Next Door, a forest green to pale pink thermal base with peach to gold to green to blue shifting shimmer. Shown in 3 coats. I adore this one! It’s giving cottage core vibe for some reason and I’m so into that. The thermal color change is also quite unique; I have nothing like this in my collection.

Polish Pickup is the largest monthly collaboration for indie nail polishes. Based in the US, the shop opens first Friday to the following Monday of every month for pre-order, featuring mostly indie nail polishes, as well as some indie jewelries, lifestyle items, wax melts, nail cares, bath and body cares, etc. The monthly shop will have different theme each month, submitted and voted by Facebook group members three month ahead, based on which all the brands will create a shop exclusive item.
