🇺🇸 Cirque Colors Creator Series: Vol.1

Hello everyone! It’s been awhile since I last purchased a full collection with my own money. That’s why I’m so excited to share these colors with you today. This is Cirque Colors’ Creator Series: Vol.1, featuring 6 limited edition polishes created in collaboration with 3 talented nail content creators, Brittney (@brushedbyb_), Tyler (@eviltwinnails), and Caitlin (@caitlinswatches). They are all some of my favorite content creators, so I had to support their collab shades.

I was surprised to find that this is the first time I’ve introduced Cirque Colors on my blog. Cirque Colors is one of my earliest indie polish purchases; it was their classic speckle polish Acid Wash that got me into Cirque. Cirque Colors is a NYC based indie nail polish established in 2012 by the founder Annie Pham. Their polishes are vegan and cruelty free, and have always been hand-mixed and hand-poured. Aside from their high-quality polishes, they are also known for their dedication to raise awareness and fund for various causes, including LGBTQIA+ rights, immigrant small business support, youth mental health awareness, and more. Now that we’ve gotten to know a bit about the brand, let’s get to the swatches!

  1. Umber Jelly
  2. Hidden Hue
  3. Accomplice
  4. Saboteur
  5. Liminal Light
  6. Dissolving Night
  7. Wait! There’s something else you might also like to read…

Umber Jelly

First up we have the Brushedbyb_ duo, consisting of a jelly polish and a magnetic polish. Umber Jelly is a limited edition dark brown jelly nail polish with a shiny, transparent finish. Shown in 3 coats. I have the Tortoiseshell Nail Art Set from Cirque Colors, so I’m curious to see how Mahogany Jelly (formerly known as Walnut, the darkest shade from the set) differs from Umber Jelly. In comparison, Umber Jelly leans slightly more red while Mahogany Jelly leans slightly more yellow. Mahogany Jelly is also a bit more opaque.

Hidden Hue

The other half of Brittney’s duo is Hidden Hue, a limited edition orange amber nail polish with a silver and gold magnetic pigment. Shown in 3 coats. I absolutely adore this one! This is one of my favorite from this series and is the one that I’m most excited to wear. The ring finger and pointer are in cat-eye style; the middle finger and pinkie are unmagnetized; the thumb is in velvet style. I honestly love it in every way! It would be a perfect color to wear from summer to autumn to Christmas to Lunar New Year!

Accomplice

Next up we have the Eviltwinnails duo, consisting of two shimmergraphic™️ polishes with reflective glitter. Accomplice is a limited edition light blurple nail polish with a beautiful blue-violet color-shifting shimmer, intense scattered holographic effect, and a sprinkle of silver flash reflective glitters. Shown in 3 coats. This is not your typical purple shimmer. The reflective glitter and holo glitter make it extra sparkly!

Saboteur

The other half of Tyler’s duo is Saboteur, a limited edition light teal nail polish with a playful blue-violet color-shifting shimmer, intense scattered holographic effect, and a sprinkle of silver flash reflective glitters. Shown in 3 coats, but I would gladly wear just two for a slightly more translucent look. 3 gives much more color payout, which is equally beautiful! This is another one of my favorite! I think my love for green has slowly seep into the teal family too.

Liminal Light

Last but not least, we have the Caitlinswatches duo, consisting of a pearlescent flakie and a shimmergraphic™️. Liminal Light is a limited edition opal-inspired, white sheer nail polish with a mix of blue-violet iridescent flakes and pearlescent shimmer. Shown in 3 coats. I was a bit concerned that the pearlescent sheen might my skin look dead, but I was wrong. It’s very beautiful and elegant! A perfect wedding color I’d say.

Dissolving Night

The other half of Caitlin’s duo is Dissolving Night, a limited edition burgundy red purple nail polish with a captivating teal-blue duochrome shimmer and intense scattered holographic effect. Shown in 2 coats. This is so sparkly! It reminds me of the cityscape of nighttime New York, with all the lights of different colors lighting up the atmosphere.

All of the collab shades are limited edition, and are already available on Cirque’s website. There is a discounted price for all three duos; the Brushedbyb_ Duo is $27.90, the Eviltwinnails Duo and Caitlinswatches Duo $29.70. I’m so happy that I got these colors! Not only because they are beautiful, but also because I got to support these creators. Let me know in the comments if you’ve got any from this launch or if you’re planning to get any. By the way, look at how cute these custom boxes are!
