🇺🇸 LynB Designs You Rock Collection

*Products shown are gifted in exchange for swatches. All opinions are my own.*

So many new collections launching this week! My wallet has already seen some damages with PPU and Cirque Colors, but I can’t keep LynB Designs’ new collection to myself. You Rock collection features 9 minerals inspired beauties that will sure rock your world, bad pun intended! Along with the collection, as always, we have a stunning Polish of the Month. Here we go!

  1. Industrial Lights
  2. It’s a Pyrite’s Life for Me
  3. Taken for Garnet
  4. None Of Your Bismuth
  5. Citrine You and Me
  6. Yooper Liteful
  7. Igneous Is Bliss
  8. Sedimentary My Dear Watson
  9. Selenite to See You
  10. Have a Gneiss Day

Industrial Lights

First let’s take a look at the Polish of the Month. Industrial Lights is a dark blue base filled with red to gold shifting shimmer and added holo sparkle, shown in 2 coats. Safe to say I’m obsessed! The shiftiness is so beautiful! It looks like cityscape at night. In the back, I have comparisons with Cimmerian (Lover of Words Haunted Edition) and Midnight Thunderstorms (Comfort Colors).

It’s a Pyrite’s Life for Me

Now we have colors from You Rock collection. First up, It’s a Pyrite’s Life for Me is a grungy yellow base filled with red to orange to green shifting shimmer, shown in 3 coats, but 2 coats is looking really beautiful too! If you know me, you know that I love a prugly color like this. The pickle-y green hue is so nice. I have comparisons with Pere Cheney (Michigan Mysteries Pt.2) and Pie in the Sky With a Lonely Goat Turd (Misheard Lyrics Pt.2). They are quite similar color-wise, but the formula is a little bit different. Pyrite has some larger particles while the other two have more of a pearl finish.

Taken for Garnet

Taken for Garnet is such a beauty! It’s a pink leaning burgundy base with electric blue to violet shifting shimmer and added holo sparkle, shown in 3 coats. You can get a brighter berry shade with 2 coats, or a darker, jewel tone shade with 3. The shimmers are very glowy! For comparison, I’ve included swatches of Destination Unknown (Jun 2024 PPU), Existence Is Terrifying (May 2024 PPU), Juice Box Hero (Misheard Lyrics Pt.2), Morel Support (Prugly Pals Group Custom), and Tenta-Cool (Feb & Jul 2024 PPU). They might be similar in color, but the holo flakie in this one makes it one of a kind.

None Of Your Bismuth

None Of Your Bismuth is a warm brown base with pink to orange to gold to green shifting multichrome shimmer, shown in 3 coats. This one is super shifty! You can expect very different look whenever the light that hits your nails changes. I’ve included in the back comparisons with Slow and Steady (Feb 2024 PPU) and Synodic (Edge of the Universe). Swipe to see them if you’re interested.

Citrine You and Me

Citrine You and Me is a warm red base with pink to orange shifting magnetic pull and copper to yellow shifting flakies. Shown in 2 coats. The pointer, ring finger, and the thumb are magnetized into cat eye style; the middle finger and the pinkie are unmagnetized. I’ve tried doing velvet style with this one, but the effect is not very prominent, so I skipped showing it to you. For comparison, I included swatches of Crackling Fire (Comfort Colors) in the back. They are both red/pink magnetics but Citrine You and Me has more pink shift than Crackling Fire.

Yooper Liteful

Yooper Liteful is a yooperlite inspired, greyed out holo base loaded with red to gold and black to green to red shifting UCC flakies and orange glow in the dark. Shown in 3 coats. I’d recommend giving it a good shake before applying, as the glow-in-the-dark pigment tends to sink to the bottom. I apologize for the blurry glow-in-the-dark pictures. I don’t know why I can’t keep my hand steady that day for the life of me.

Igneous Is Bliss

Igneous Is Bliss is one of my favorite this time, alongside Taken for Garnet. It’s a pale sage green base with peach to orange to green shifting shimmer. Shown in 2 coats. I was pleasantly surprised by the opacity! The color is so soft and dainty! I’ve included my swatches of Serendipitous (Apricity Sibling), Good Scents of Humor (Vintage Fragrance), and How A-Paulding… Light (Michigan Mysteries). They are all pale greens but with slightly different shades. Igneous is the most opaque of them all.

Sedimentary My Dear Watson

Sedimentary My Dear Watson is a blackened purple base with green to blue to indigo shifting shimmer and scattered holo shimmer. Shown in 2 coats. Yet another super shifter! It’s so gem-packed with holo pigments that it almost looks like a linear holo with shimmer. For comparison, swatches for some colors I thought were similar are included in the back. That includes Three Sisters of Lake Superior (Michigan Mysteries Pt.2) and Treat Yourself (Jul 2023 PPU).

Selenite to See You

Selenite to See You is a lavender leaning grey base with silver magnetic pull and gold to green shifting flakies. Shown in 2 coats. The pointer and the ring finger are in cat-eye style; the middle finger and pinkie are unmagnetized; the thumb is in velvet style. The silver magnetic shimmer is subtle but it adds a beautiful glow, especially in velvet style.

Have a Gneiss Day

Last but not least, Have a Gneiss Day is a pale lavender with peach to gold to blue shifting shimmer. Shown in 2 coats. This one is a very elegant color. I can see it being a great shade to wear to weddings. Comparison in the back includes The Power of Whimsy (Dec 2024 PPU) and Eclat (Apricity Sibling). Gneiss and Whimsy are very similar in terms of base color, but the color shifts of the iridescent shimmer are different, and Whimsy is a little paler than Gneiss.
