September has always been one of the most anticipated release of the year, because it’s almost always full of amazing Halloween themed colors. This September, with the theme of Haunted History, makers are whipping out so many good colors and stories. I have offerings from LynB Designs and Wildflower Lacquer to share with you. Let’s travel back in time, spooky style, shall we?
For those who are not familiar with Polish Pickup (PPU)— you can skip this part if you are— PPU is the largest monthly collaboration for indie nail polishes. Based in the US, the shop opens first Friday to the following Monday of every month for pre-order, featuring mostly indie nail polishes, as well as some indie jewelries, lifestyle items, wax melts, nail cares, bath and body cares, etc. The monthly shop will have different theme each month, submitted and voted by Facebook group members three month ahead, based on which all the brands will create a shop exclusive item. The exclusivity and the creativity of the makers are some of the reasons why PPU is well welcomed by many shoppers around the world.
Never Gives Up Her Dead｜LynB Designs
Inspired by Lake Superior shipwrecks, Never Gives Up Her Dead is a deep cerulean blue base with green to blue to purple shifting shimmer and scattered holo flakes. Shown in 2 coats. I seldom say this but yes, it’s a must have if you love blue!

Lady of the House｜Wildflower Lacquer
Inspired by the Overholser Mansion in OKC, Lady of the House is a smoky plum base with pink to orange to gold to almost green shifting shimmer. The Overholser Mansion was considered one of OKC’s first mansions, built in 1903. Henry and Anne Overholser both died there. It’s said that Anne still haunts the mansion to this day, peering from the third story window like she’s waiting for Henry to come home from work. Shown here in 3 coats. A murky plum like this is so perfect for autumn!
