It’s that time of the year! PPU Rewind and After Party is coming next week. This time, I have 7 offerings to share with you; including some I swatched for brands, and some I bought for myself. Let get right to the swatches!
First up, the Rewind items! These offerings will be available on Polish Pickup site.
A Lion With a Thorn in Its Paw｜Bee’s Knees Lacquer
Starting off strong with a highly anticipated shade, A Lion With a Thorn in Its Paw by Bee’s Knees Lacquer is a cornflower blue with an orange to gold to green shimmer and holo flakes. Shown in 2 coats. This is one of the first, and the few, BKL I have. I bought it back in March 2021 during the Birds and Butterflies theme. I’ve worn it several times since but am always afraid that it would run out. It’s such a beautiful, shifty polish! Sarah was able to bring it back once or twice before as a 2.0 version, but she found a batch of the OG shimmers recently so this one will be an original version. I’m seriously considering getting a backup, even though I’ve never came close to finishing any bottle!

Apparition｜Haunted Polish
Next up, Haunted Polish is bringing back Apparition, a sheer lilac haunted by a green to spectral aqua shimmer. Shown in 3 coats. It was originally offered in October 2025 under the Optical Illusion theme. It was inspired by The Pepper’s Ghost illusion. I can totally see why it won the vote to come back because WOW! The shimmer is extremely glowy!

All I Really Want｜Lemming Lacquer ＊
Next up, coming back for the second time, All I Really Want from Lemming Lacquer is a classic at the time. It is a blue-violet jelly base with brilliant sapphire to violet shimmer. Opaque in 3 coats. It was from 90’s Grunge theme back in October 2023. It was one of the first polishes I swatched for Cassie, and it remains one of my most precious polish ever since. It’s every bit as glowy as the picture shows, if not more.

Bombastic Side Eye｜LynB Designs ＊
Next up, LynB Designs is bringing back a recent favorite. Bombastic Side Eye is a red to purple and clear to blue solar thermal filled with a rainbow of shifting flakies. Shown in 3 coats. It was originally offered under Sky Creature theme this March. This was inspired by Jennalyn’s turkey Tom and his beautiful snood. It’s one of the most interesting polish I own!

Thousand Stars｜PI Colors ＊
The last rewind color is Thousand Stars.000 from PI Colors. It is a lovely blue green jelly base with shimmers shift from gold to green to hints of blue at the edges, inspired by a green blue mood ring with an antique gold band. Shown in 3 coats. It was from the Mood Rings & Emotions theme of November 2025. The shimmers inside is brilliant! Super shifty and glowy!

Next, I’m sharing the After Party colors I have. These will be available on the makers’ websites. Please note that every maker will have their own launch time. Octi-Evil｜Beaux Rêves Lacquer ＊
First one up is Octi-Evil from Beaux Rêves Lacquer, inspired by The Powerpuff Girls’ Bubble’s stuffed toy Octi who turns evil. This is a vibrant purple base, with bright blue to green shimmer, and pink reflective glitter. Shown in 3 coats. It was from Cute But Deadly theme back in February 2026. It’s one of my favorite from the brand! The glowy shimmer really had my heart.

HalloQueen｜Lemming Lacquer ＊
On Lemming Lacquer’s site, we have HalloQueen. Originally released May 2021 for the Guilty Pleasures theme. HalloQueen is a reddened boysenberry jelly contrasted by a turquoise to deep green to blue to purple to magenta multichrome with holographic microflakes. Shown in 2 coats. It was inspired by Cassie’s love of Halloween and Halloween decorations.

Frosted Light｜LynB Designs ＊
Last but certainly not least, LynB Designs is bringing back to their site, again, Frosted Light. It is a sheer but buildable pale cornflower blue base with aqua to blue to purple shifting shimmer. Opaque in 3 coats. Originally released in December 2023 for Maker’s Choice theme, this was one of the first PPUs I’ve swatched for LynB, and it has since come back for the THIRD time, including this time! That’s how wee-loved it is! It was inspired by light bouncing off the freshly fallen snow, and dare I say Jennalyn nailed the inspo. I’m not the biggest fan of light blues on myself but I love this one!

About Polish Pickup (PPU)｜Official Website
Polish Pickup is the largest monthly collaboration for indie nail polishes. Based in the US, the shop opens first Friday to the following Monday of every month for pre-order, featuring mostly indie nail polishes, as well as some indie jewelries, lifestyle items, wax melts, nail cares, bath and body cares, etc. The monthly shop will have different theme each month, submitted and voted by Facebook group members three month ahead, based on which all the brands will create a shop exclusive item.
