Polish Pickup’s theme of March is Sky Creatures. As always, I have offerings from 4 brands to share with you. Shopping Polish Pickup for so many years, animal related themes have always been one of my personal favorites, as the nature never fails to bring unique inspiration. Theme of the month not only includes animals with wings, but also mystical creatures flying in the sky. Let’s dive into the swatches!
Macaw Me Crazy!｜Beaux Rêves Lacquer
First up, Macaw Me Crazy! from Beaux Rêves Lacquer is inspired by the beautiful blue-yellow macaw parrot. It is a lush teal base with larger particle shimmer that shifts aqua-green-gold which results in a foil like finish. Shown in 3 coats. It’s such a glowy polish! The flakie does remind me of a parrot’s feathers.

Onyxia｜Lemming Lacquer
Next up, from Lemming Lacquer, Onyxia is inspired by the World of Warcraft dragon lady Onyxia. It is a red-violet jelly with fiery aurora shimmer shifting red to orange to gold, purple-pink to copper to gold to green flakes, gold green to pink flakes, gold holographic microsparks, and red holographic microsparks. Shown in 2 coats. The jelly base allows the flakes to shine through. It’s very pretty!

Bombastic Side Eye｜LynB Designs
From LynB Designs, we have Bombastic Side Eye, a red to purple and clear to blue solar thermal filled with a rainbow of shifting flakies. Shown in 3 coats. This is inspired by Jennalyn’s turkey Tom and his beautiful snood. This one is so much fun to wear! I also love that it was inspired by turkey. It’s always interesting to see an unconventional inspiration.

Thunderbird Falls.000｜PI Colors
Last but not least, PI Colors is inspired by the Native American Thunderbird. Thunderbird Falls.000 is blue base with a super shifty green, gold, bronze colorshifting shimmer. Shown in 2 coats. This one is surprisingly opaque. And look how shifty it is! It’s an absolute stunner!

Polish Pickup is the largest monthly collaboration for indie nail polishes. Based in the US, the shop opens first Friday to the following Monday of every month for pre-order, featuring mostly indie nail polishes, as well as some indie jewelries, lifestyle items, wax melts, nail cares, bath and body cares, etc. The monthly shop will have different theme each month, submitted and voted by Facebook group members three month ahead, based on which all the brands will create a shop exclusive item.
