Last Friday, ILNP came out with two new collections, Twisted and Thorns. Twisted collection consists of 6 mind bending multi-chrome magnetics; and Thorns consist of 4 vampy cremes. I’ll be showing you both collections, staring with the Twisted collection. I hope you’re ready for some fascinating colors!

Since this is a magnetic collection, all of my swatches will be showing you how they look with different ways of magnetizing. The pointer and ring finger will be in cat-eye style, the middle finger and pinkie will be un magnetized, and the thumb will be in velvet/black-hole style. If you’re interested to know how I achieve the black-hole effect, I have a reel posted on my Instagram. You can check it out here.
Mad House
Mad House has a green to teal magnetic effect with purple iridescent micro flake as base. Shown in 2 coats. The color combo reminds me of Frankenstein or Beetlejuice, very Halloween-y!

Radioactive
Radioactive has a bight yellowish green to turquoise magnetic effect, with orange iridescent micro flake as base. Shown in 2 coats. This one is my favorite of the collection! I’m obsessed with it after magnetizing, whether it’s in cat-eye or velvet style.

Overload
Overload is a black base with silver magnetic effect, scattered with multicolored micro flakes. Shown in 2 coats. It reminds me of kaleidoscope. So beautiful and fun! In the back I’ve included comparison with a few black/grey magnetics in the back such as Darkest Hour (Coven) Dark Matter (Cosmos), and Moonlit (Coven).

Electroshock
Electroshock has a teal to blue to violet magnetic effect, with a gold micro flake as base. Shown in 3 coats. The teal shimmer is so vibrant! For comparison, I’ve included Deep Space from Cosmos collection in the back.

Mood Ring
Mood Ring has a magenta to orange magnetic effect, with blue micro flakes as base. Shown in 2 coats. The color contrast of the magnetic pigment and the base color is very interesting. However, I do feel that with this color, the unmagnetized look is underwhelming. Maybe it’s because of the contrasting color, when unmagnetized, they look kind of muddy. It’s something to consider if you prefer wearing magnetic polishes without using a magnet.

Distorted
Distorted has a blue to purple magnetic effect, with orange to gold to green micro flakes as base. Shown in 2 coats. This one unmagnetized also looked a bit cloudy and underwhelming. But when magnetized, it became so magical! In the back I’m including swatches of Flip Side, Hypnosis, and Warped (all from Illusions collection) for comparison.

About ILNP|Official Website
ILNP is a boutique nail polish brand established in 2012 in Las Vegas, USA. They have a huge catalogue of more than hundreds of colors to choose from, each with nicely formulated formula and exquisite packaging. Comparing to the other boutique brand, their price point is relatively lower. These are all some of the reasons why their products have been very popular in the nail polish community.
