🇺🇸 LynB Designs Michigan Mysteries

Can’t believe February went by so quickly! I’ve been so unmotivated the past weeks, months really, so this post along with LynB’s Chocolate Box Quad swatches have both been sitting in my draft drawer until now. Back in January, Jennalyn was inspired by the mysterious event in her hometown Michigan. The Michigan Mysteries collection consists of 9 beautiful colors with a variety of formula. Also launched back in January is a new addition to the monthly Zodiac polish, as well as a throwback of the month color. We also got a quad inspired by chocolate box. However, I don’t want the post to be overly long, so swatches of the quad will be in a separate post. I’ll link the post at the end so you can take a look after.

Capricorn (The Goat)

Let’s start with the singles. Polish of the month from the Zodiac collection is Capricorn (The Goat), a warm toned purple with green to blue shifting shimmer. Shown in 3 coats. As a Capricorn myself, it’s not my go-to color, but I do enjoy the delicate shimmer!

Flaming Zombie 2.0

This month, Jennalyn is bringing back Flaming Zombie 2.0. It is a jungle green to neon lime green thermal filled with red to orange shifting flakies.

How A-Paulding… Light

Now we’ve come to the Michigan Mysteries collection. First we have How A-Paulding… Light. It’s a pale ghostly green crelly base with intense green to blue to purple shifting shimmer. Shown here in 3 coats. The shimmer with the crelly base is so delicate! It is the kind of color I can’t stop buying. Since it is a crelly, I would recommend not to apply it with too much pressure, so it won’t get patchy.

Le Griffon

Up next is Le Griffon, a warm chocolate brown with orange to green shifting microflakie shimmer and added holo sparkle. Shown in 3 coats. This one is right up my ally! How can we say no to a glowing brown like this? The holo flakies complements the microflakies so well!

Old Presque Isle Lighthouse Keeper

Old Presque Isle Lighthouse Keeper is a greyed out denim base with red to orange to gold shifting shimmer and added micro holo sparkle. Shown in 3 coats. I’m not a polish making expert obviously, but this one looks like linear holo to me with all the holo sparkles added. It is a soft and delicate shade perfect for anytime.

Michigan’s Triangle

Michigan’s Triangle is a gunmetal to red to purple shifting thermal base with intense pink to red shifting shimmer and added holo flakies. Shown in 3 coats. I’ll admit that I’m not fully understanding the description but it won’t change my thoughts on the polish. I love all the cozy vibes this gives me!

Mishipeshu (The Great Lynx)

Next up, Mishipeshu (The Great Lynx) is a deep plum jelly base filled with blue to purple shifting shimmer. Shown in 3 coats. Now this should be a staple in everyone’s collection! I absolutely love when Jennalyn came out with a jelly shimmer. The jelly base allows the shimmer to shine through, and it really adds the depth.

Beach of Singing Sands

This is one of my favorite! Beach of Singing Sands is a sandy taupe base with blue to purple shifting shimmer. Shown here in 3 coats, but since the base is buildable, you can build up to the desire opacity at will. Personally I really like how it looks in 2; it is almost the perfect your-nails-but-better look for me.

Eben Ice Caves

Eben Ice Caves is an intense cerulean blue base with aqua to blue to purple shifting shimmer. Shown in 3 coats. This one may stain, so a good base coat/blurring base coat is recommended. The glowy shimmer in this is truly fascinating!

Swamp Gas Or Dancing Orbs?

Swamp Gas Or Dancing Orbs? is a creamy pink base with aqua to purple shifting shimmer. Shown in 3 coats. I have my doubts about this color because light pinks are notorious unflattering against yellow skintone. But to my surprise, it is actually very pretty!

Witch’s Ball

Last but not least, Witch’s Ball is a smoky teal base with pink to green shifting shimmer. Shown in 3 coats. Saving the shiftiest for last! Jennalyn nailed the inspo of this. It does look witchy with the purple and green shift!
