Long time no see everyone! Sorry I’m late sharing LynB’s February launch. I’ve been lacking motivation for weeks. But the February launch is a collection inspired by one of my favorite comedy series “Only Murders In The Building”, so I have to share with you. Only Murders In The Building is a 9-piece collection, let’s get right to the swatches!

- Old Lady Energy
- This is a Fun Twist
- Do You Have a Showstopper?
- Embrace the Mess
- Women Who Knock Rarely Make History
- Alone Isn’t So Bad, I Like Alone
- The Secrets Are the Fun Part
- My Hobby Is Solving Murders
- These Are Our Proverbial Onions
Old Lady Energy
First up, Old Lady Energy is a creamy pink base with pink to gold shifting micro flakie shimmer. It’s a beautiful soft pink that fits the name perfectly! It reminds me of the pearlescent polish from the 80s maybe, but without the annoying streaks. Opaque in 3 coats. I include a comparison collage of this one with Swamp Gas Or Dancing Orbs? from the Michigan Mysteries collection. This one has a grey tint while Swamp Gas is more Pink.

This is a Fun Twist
This is a Fun Twist is a pastel grey super shifter with green to blue to purple shifting shimmer. Despite owning thousands of polishes, there’s nothing like this in my collection. I enjoy the pale grey base very much! Opaque in 3 coats.

Do You Have a Showstopper?
Next up is Do You Have a Showstopper?, a buildable purple tinted holo base with a rainbow of shifting flakies and silver reflective glitter. This color shines like you have diamonds on the nails! If you like sparkle, this is definitely the one to get. For those who are not a huge fan of reflective glitters, I didn’t find this one extremely textured. Shown in 3 coats with one coat of glossy top coat.

Embrace the Mess
Embrace the Mess is a warm toned taupey brown base with blue to purple shifting shimmer. The base of this one is very sheer; the shimmer is pretty delicate and glowy. Shown in 3 coats. It looks a lot like Beach of Singing Sands from the Michigan Mysteries collection; I have comparison in the back if you’re interested. Beach of Singing Sands is more opaque than this one.

Women Who Knock Rarely Make History
Women Who Knock Rarely Make History is a mustard yellow jelly based flakie bomb filled with red to orange shifting flakies and holo flakies. This is my favorite from the collection! I love a happy color like this! Can’t wait to wear more of this in spring and summer. Shown in 3 coats. I have comparison in the back with Lemon on a Pear from Misheard Lyrics collection. This one leans more yellow, while Lemon on a Pear leans more green. The ingredients are different too.

Alone Isn’t So Bad, I Like Alone
Alone Isn’t So Bad, I Like Alone is a deep teal blue with intense green to blue to purple shifting shimmer and a touch of holo sparkle. Shown in 3 coats. I’ve put together some previous shades that I though are similar, including Eben Ice Caves (Michigan Mysteries collection) and Nothing is Lost, Only Changed (December 2023 Hella Handmade Creations). Feel free to swipe to the back to see them. Their color shift may be similar but color-wise, Alone lays somewhere between the other two. It also contains more holo than the others.

The Secrets Are the Fun Part
The Secrets Are the Fun Part is a muted teal base with purple to pink shifting shimmer. Another one of my favorite! Such an elegant color for winter. Shown in 3 coats.

My Hobby Is Solving Murders
My Hobby Is Solving Murders is a deep forest green with pink to gold shifting shimmer. Shown in 3 coats. It is super shifty, reminds me of Witch’s Ball from the Michigan Mysteries collection. Comparison is in the back. Witch’s Ball is a little darker, and the shift is a little bit different.

These Are Our Proverbial Onions
Last but not least, These Are Our Proverbial Onions is a deep purple base with purple to pink to orange shifting micro flakie shimmer and added holo flakies. Shown in 3 coats. Comparison between this one and Time, Space, History, Be Damned (October 2023 Helle Handmade Creations) is in the back. This one is a little less vibrant than the other.
