In May, Wildflower Lacquer is taking us back to the 90s again! Back to the 90’s Vol.2 features 9 new polishes in various colors and formula. Along with the new collection, Anthophile will be coming back as 2.0 version. There will also be two new charity polishes inspired by Taylor and Kerry’s new fur babies. Without further ado, let go straight to the swatches!

Talk Furby to Me

Starting off with Back to the 90’s Vol.2, we have “Talk Furby to Me”, a medium orchid pink with purple to pink to orange shifting shimmer, inspired by Furby. Opaque in 3 coats. To be honest, I’ve always feel that Furby is a bit disturbing. As a mid-90’s kid, I don’t get why it was popular at all. But this color is simply stunning! I love how vibrant it is, and I can see myself wearing it a lot in the coming summer. It makes me look tan, and I like it a lot!

Frank Me Up

Coming up next is a super cute topper, inspired by Lisa Frank. Frank Me Up is a linear holo base with neon matte glitter, and colorful micro matte glitters. Shown here in three coats on its own, and one coat over a turquoise base. Those big colorful glitters had my heart! So fun and happy to wear!

Boy Bands

Next up we have Boy Bands, a dark periwinkle base with violet undertones and pink to gold shifting shimmer, inspired by BSB & NSYNC, and all the other boy bands. Opaque in three coats. The shimmer in this one is very shifty and sparkly. I can definitely see this as one of the crowd favorite in the collection.

It Doesn’t Get Eddie Vedder Than This

The next one is, in my opinion, the most unique one in the collection. Inspired by Eddie Vedder all the grunge of the 90’s, It Doesn’t Get Eddie Vedder Than This is a grungy green jelly base with blue to indigo shifting shimmer. Shown here in three coats, but if you did two, the green base will be more visible. I truly love such a “prugly” base. Despite having 700+ nail polishes in my collection, this one is still completely unique.

Oodles of Caboodles

Don’t sleep on this if you like vibrant colors! Oodles of Caboodles is a purple base packed with holo flakes. Inspired by caboodles, inspired by caboodles. Shown in three coats. It looks like gemstone on the nails. The holo flakies sparkle so beautifully! I learned last week that this is the purple version of Painting the Roses Red, and it makes perfect sense considering how much I love this. I was hoping it would scratch my itch on missing the Roses, but then it just makes me crave having the same formula with every color possible.

Wishbone

Wishbone is a deep burgundy jelly with subtle with blue shimmer, inspired by the tv show Wishbone. Opaque in 2 coats. On the nails it leans more purple, and the shimmer is a such a nice touch. It’s giving me Halloween vibes although we are still half a year away.

Bubble Beeper

I feel like a lot of people are not much of a fan of orange polishes, not me though! Especially when it comes to a vibrant orange like Bubble Beeper. Bubble Beeper is a light orange base with gold to green to blue shifting shimmer, inspired by bubble beeper gum. Opaque in 3 coats. I didn’t know about the gum originally, but after googling, I think someone needs to bring them back!

Just Wingin’ It

Now here comes my favorite of this collection. Just Wingin’ It is a black tinted base with red to orange to gold shifting shimmer and linear holo, inspired by hologram jewelry. Opaque in two coats. The shimmer in this one is the shiftiest of them all! Absolutely gorgeous!

Heart of the Ocean

Last one of the collection is Heart of the Ocean, a deep navy base with blue shifting shimmer, blue holographic glitter, holographic flakes, and scattered aqua crystal flakes, inspired by the heart of the ocean from Titanic. The amount of flakes and glitter in this does make the formula a bit thicker. But in my opinion, it is still easy enough to apply, and it won’t take forever to take off. Taylor nailed the inspo of this one. It does look like sapphire on the nails.

Anthophile 2.0

Also coming along with Back to the 90’s Vol.2, Anthophile is making a come back as 2.0 version. Anthophile means lover of flowers, was originally released in 2020 as one of the 1.5k Facebook custom. This is a blue base with pink to gold to green shifting shimmer, and scattered holo sparkle. Opaque in two coats. I’m so excited for this one and it did not disappoint! The holo sparkle and the shifty shimmer pair together perfectly. I seldom say this but this one is a must-have!

Ruby

Lastly we have two charity polishes inspired by Taylor and Kerry’s new fur baby Ruby and Louie. First up we have Ruby, a ruby red jelly base with rose pearl microflakes, scattered red holo glitter, and subtle red to orange to gold shifting shimmer. Shown here in 3 coats, although two might be enough for those having shorter nails.
