I have so many new things to share with you these couple of weeks, including this stunning new spring collection from ILNP, the Fairy Forest collection. This is the second spring collection from ILNP, inspired by magical forests and fairies in fairytales. Including 6 new colors of a variety of formulas, Fairy Forest is such a wonderful collection! I can hardly contain my excitement while swatching them. Let’s dive in!

Fawn
First up is Fawn, a brown with copper shimmer, silver and gold metallic flakes and a bronze magnetic effect. Shown here in 3 coats. Although 2 coats might be enough for full coverage, but I did 3 to achieve a magnetic effect with more depth. Swipe for thumb shots showing how it looks if you did a velvet magnetic look. It’s so beautiful, just like amber!

Clover
Next up is Clover, a unique lime holographic jelly. I love this one so much too! (Although there are hardly any one in this collection that I don’t love.) The yellow undertone makes it quite flattering for asian skin-tone. It looks really spring-y, and the holo flakes inside are so sparkly that the rainbow effect shines through even in the shades. Shown here in 3 coats, as it is a jelly formula, the nail line is still slightly visible. However, the jelly base does help the holos peek through.

Enchantment
Now here comes a crowd favorite! I shared on Instagram a nail art using this one, and everyone just love it! It’s also a magnetic, having a rich teal base with blue and green shimmer, holographic flakes, and a teal magnetic effect. Opaque in 2 coats. The thumb shots show it done in velvet effect, which I personally like more than when it’s done in a single line. The blue and green shimmers sparkle so beautifully! I’ve included the video showing the velvet effect in motion at the end of the article. Another thing to mention is that, just like all the other teal polishes, this one tends to stain the nail and skin when removing. Simply apply some cuticle remover on the stained part, wait a few seconds then wipe away with a cotton pad. The stain will be removed easily.

Fairy Dust
Fairy Dust is another crowd favorite. It is a light purple with vivid orange shimmer and holographic flakes. Opaque in 3 coats. The color shifts in this one is absolutely gorgeous! The holo flakes are so sparkly too. I honestly feel sad having to remove it when swatching. If you are a lover of shifty polishes and holos, don’t sleep on this.

Up Above
Next is Up Above, a creamy blue crelly base with gold to green iridescent flakes and holographic microflakes. Opaque in 3 coats. In my opinion, this is the most work appropriate one in this collection; great for everyday wear if you can’t wear anything too dramatic at work. It reminds me of Rainshower from a few years ago, so I’ve included a comparison collage. Swipe to the end to find it. The iridescent flakes in Rainshower is much smaller; while those in Up Above is bigger and more disperse. Up Above also has some tiny holo flakes that Rainshower doesn’t have. Both are beautiful, and the base color is quite similar. They are similar enough to get only one, but at the same time different enough if you want to get both.

Pixie Party
Last but definitely not least, Pixie Party is another one of my favorite in the collection! It is a sheer pink base with an intense green shimmer and holographic flakes. Shown here in 3 coats, but I’ll gladly wear it in 2 for more of a sheer look. Nail lines are not visible if worn in 2 coats only because the shimmer is very intense. It is just that the base color will not be as vibrant. I wore this to a wedding the next day of swatching this beauty because I love it so much. Truly fairy like!

After sharing all the swatches, here’s a tutorial for a floral nail art I made using some of the shades in this collection. At the end of the reel, you can see the velvet magnetic effect of Enchantment in motion. If you like seeing nail arts, feel free to follow me on Instagram @jemima.nails !
Fairy Forest collection is already available. As always, you can enjoy $1 off everything in the collection on the first week of launch. So it’s a good time to get your hands on the ones you like.
