How’s everyone doing in this summer heat? The weather recently makes me feel appropriate to look back on the Under The Sea collection by ILNP. This collection came out two years ago in July, when I was traveling in Canada, so I never got the chance to share them. Today is the day! Let’s dive in to the swatches!
Blowing Bubbles
First up, Blowing Bubbles is a rich sky blue Ultra Holo® nail polish. Shown here in 2 coats. It’s a super sparkly blue! The holo microflakes look amazing, just like the glistening sea!

Sea Glass
Sea Glass is a saturated cobalt blue base with blue to purple iridescent flakes. Shown in 3 coats. The jelly like base really gives this one a lot of depth.

Paradise
Next up, Paradise is a teal-green jelly base with holographic shimmer, vibrant emerald metallic flakes, and green shimmer. Shown in 3 coats. I feel like this would make a great Christmas green too!

Hidden Treasure
Hidden Treasure is a bright purple nail polish with gold shimmer and holographic shimmer. Shown here in 3 coats. 2 coats would work too but the color will not be as vibrant. This is my absolute favorite of the collection! The shimmer and flakies make the macro look like an open treasure trunk.

Sandbar
Next up, Sandbar is a sandy beige magnetic with holographic flakes. Shown in 3 coats. The pointer and the ring finger are in cat-eye style; the middle finger and the pinkie are unmagnetized; the thumb is in velvet style. This one is pretty sheer but I like the “your-nails-but-better” look.

Ariel
Last but not least, Ariel is a vivid lobster red with fiery red to orange flakes and shimmer. Shown in 3 coats. The base of this one is also pretty sheer, but the color is so bright that I can barely see the visible nail line. In the back, I’ve included swatch comparisons with Secret Santa (Santa’s Workshop) and Melody (Wildflower). They have similar base color but the formula is a little different.
