I feel like I’ve swatched many cremes lately, more than I usually do. It was a nice break for me since swatching cremes is much easier. But today, I have a 6-piece magnetic collection to share with you from LynB Designs. Spoiler alert! They are all magical! Here we go!

Since all of the colors in this collection are magnetics, I’ll let you know how I’ve swatched them so I’m not repeating myself too much. The pointer and ring finger are magnetized into a cat-eye style; the middle finger and pinkie are unmagnetized; the thumb is magnetized into black-hole/velvet style (click here to learn how to).
Caricature
First up, Caricature is a stormy berry purple base with green to blue shifting shimmer and indigo magnetic pull. Shown in 3 coats. I originally thought that the magnetic stripe will not be very prominent as the base color and the magnetic shimmer have similar color. But as I’m swatching it, I can definitely see the line. For comparison, I’ve included swatches of some of the similar shades in the back, including Confabulate (Lover of Words Moira’s Edition), Dudley Nudshite (Jan 2024 PPU), Sagittarius (The Archer) (Zodiac), Witch-Ful Thinking (Falloween), With My Magic Eye (Oct 2025 PPU), and You Have Impeccable Balance, Babe (Our Flag Means Death Pt.2).

Grotesque
Grotesque is a rusty bruise base with green to teal to purple magnetic pull. Shown in 2 coats. This one is absolutely beautiful! When the light hits it just right, the cat-eye stripe almost look like a rainbow. It’s one of the most unique polish I’ve swatched in a while, and I don’t throw that around lightly.

Juxtapose
Juxtapose is a greyed out dimensional magnetic with large particle green magnetic pull and fine particle navy blue magnetic pull. Shown in 2 coats, 3 for cat-eye style. You can see the two different magnetic shimmers clearly in the thumb shot. It’s the first time I’ve seen something like this. Such a fun and unique polish!

Iconography
Iconography is a magnetic base with copper pull filled with pink to orange shifting shimmer and added holo flakies. Shown in 2 coats. This one has so much depth when magnetized. And the shimmer looks super glowy in velvet style. I’ve included comparison with Thai Tea (Silly Little Drinks), and Run On Scent-ence (Vintage Fragrance). Although they’re not magnetics, they all have shimmers with similar color shift.

Pastiche
Pastiche is a violet base with blue to indigo shifting shimmer, silver magnetic pull, and magenta reflective glitter. Shown in 2 coats. The magnetic shimmer is so glowy and reflective! Please note that because of the reflective glitter, the polish will dry textured. I would recommend using a glitter top coat or two coats of your favorite quick dry top coat with it, to get a smooth finish.

Rendering
Rendering is a forest green base with pink to orange micro flakie shimmer, green magnetic pull, and aqua glow in the dark. Shown in 3 coats. I like this one much better after magnetizing, as the unmagnetized look looks a bit muddy to me.

Last but not least, I’m including my swatches of the polish of the month below.
The Nightmare Persists
The Nightmare Persists is a dark magenta linear holo with pink glow in the dark. Shown in 2 coats. Linear holo is always a joy to wear for me!
