Oops! Sorry everyone! I thought I had already shared this post with you but apparently not! The first Little Box of Horror of the year brings us colors inspired by the popular series Resident Evil. Once again, I have 4 offerings from Lemming Lacquer and one from LynB Designs to share with you. Here comes the swatches!
I’m Not Destroying The World, I’m Saving It｜Lemming Lacquer
First up from Lemming Lacquer, we have I’m Not Destroying the World, I’m Saving It. It is inspired by Wesker and is a blackened blue with gold aurora shimmer, shown in 2 coats. In the back I’m comparing it with Death Is Not An Escape (Oct 2023 PGB). They have similar shimmer/base color combo, but on the nails they seem very different.

Fungal Roots｜Lemming Lacquer
Fungal Roots is inspired by the Fungal Roots in the game and is a blackened indigo with orange to red aurora shimmer and holographic microflakes. Shown in 2 coats. I absolutely love this color! The purple base color gave it so much depth, making it not your average red shimmer. In the back, I have comparisons with No Strings Attached (Jan 2024 PPU).

You Can Thank Your Corporate Overlords for That is inspired by Jill and is a black jelly base with blue aurora shimmer and holographic microflakes. Shown in 2 coats. It’s such a beautiful sapphire blue! For comparison, I have Gryla 2023 (Better Watch Out 2023), and Monty (Dead Boy Detectives).

I’m A Little Tied Up At The Moment｜Lemming Lacquer
I’m A Little Tied Up At The Moment is inspired by Ada and is a bright red with orange to red aurora shimmer, holographic microflakes and black holographic microsparks. Shown in 3 coats. This one would likely stain, so I’d recommend using one or two coats of good base coat with it. For comparison, I have The Horrors Persist But So Do I (May 2024 Duo).

When You’re Good To Mama｜LynB Designs
Lastly, from LynB Designs, we have When You’re Good to Mama. It’s a blackened plum to pale pink thermal base filled with red to purple shifting flakies and added cherry red holo glitters. Shown in 3 coats. The iridescent flakies are super glowy!

Little Box of Horrors is a monthly collaboration for indie nail polishes, with themes inspired by horror, paranormal, supernatural, sci-fi, and mystery. Based in the US, the shop is run by two indie nail polish brand owners, Paradox Polish and Wicked Lacquer. The shop opens from the 22nd to the 30th of every month for pre-order. Monthly theme of the following year will be submitted and voted by Facebook group members every September. Makers will then create a shop exclusive item based on the theme.
