The month of June is LynB Designs’ maker Jennalyn’s birthday. She wants to celebrate early with some truffle inspired polishes. Birthday Truffles Quad consists of 4 polishes that are siblings of Chocolate Box Quad from last (2024) January, inspired by some of the best truffles Jennalyn has ever tried. Let’s dive right in!
Raspberry
First up, this fiery red is Raspberry, a pinky wine base with pink to orange shifting shimmer. Shown in 2 coats. It is almost a one-coater, but the second coat did give a little bit more richness in color. When comparing to other reds, this leans more berry, cool tone. I’ve included in the back comparisons with Cancer (The Crab) (Zodiac), I am a Rock, I am An Onion (Misheard Lyrics Pt.2), It’s A Fall-Nomenon (Oct 2024 PPU), Malefic (Lover of Words Haunted Edition), Ruby Chocolate (Chocolate Box Quad), and Stolen Kiss (Feb 2025 Polish of the Month). Caramel
Caramel is a warm brown base with pink to orange shifting shimmer. Shown in 2 coats. This one reminds me the most of Chocolate Box Quad, so I’ve included comparisons with some other similar colors in the back, including Milk Chocolate and Bittersweet Chocolate from Chocolate Box Quad.

Lavande
Lavande is a purple toned taupe base with pink orange shifting shimmer. Shown in 2 coats. This is such an elegant shade! I love that it is a little muted. For comparison, I’ve included Does It Get Eddie Vedder? (Oct 2023 PPU) in the back.

Espresso
Last but not least, Espresso is a dark cool toned brown base with pink to orange shifting shimmer. Shown in 2 coats. With the dark colored base, the shimmers appear much more shifty than the others in the quad. Comparisons with this one includes Purr Evil (Falloween), Pareidolia (Edge of the Universe), Heros Come In all Sizes (Pediatric Cancer Awareness 2024), and Balatron (Lover of Words Moira’s Edition).
