This month’s collection from LynB Designs is giving me a full circle moment. Coming next Friday is Misheard Lyrics collection Pt.2, featuring 9 beautiful shades in various of formula. Jennalyn came out with part one of Misheard Lyrics collection back in July of last year, and it was the first collection I’ve ever swatched for her brand. I feel very grateful for the opportunity to share these beautiful creations with you throughout the past year, and am looking forward to sharing more in the future. Let’s take a look at the swatches, shall we?

- She’s My Hairy Guy
- Banana Ooh La La
- I am a Rock, I am An Onion
- Am I Just Paranoid of Emma Stone?

- What’s Love Dr. Doo… Dr. Doolittle?

Shantay, You Stay 2.0
This time we’ll start from the throwback of the month. Shantay, You Stay 2.0 is a sheer but buildable white based super shifter with blue to purple to pink shifts and added holo sparkle. Shown in 3 coats. It has a pearlescent finish but is not too streaky in my opinion. I’m not a fan of streaks, but it’s easy to get a nice, clean look with this color. For comparison, I’ve included swatches of Banana Ooh La La (Misheard Lyrics) and Can I Keep You? (May 24′ Little Box of Horror) in the back. Swipe to check if you’re interested.

She’s My Hairy Guy
Now here comes the Misheard Lyrics collection. First up, She’s My Hairy Guy is a muted grey blue with purple to pink to red shifting shimmer and peach light reflective glitter. Shown in 3 coats, but 2 may be enough for short nails. I know some of you have a love/hate (or hate/hate?) relationship with reflective glitters. I’m happy to report that this one does not dry super textured. It felt pretty smooth to me with only one coat of glossy top coat. I love that you can still enjoy the fun peachy triangular glitter under everyday lighting, since we don’t always look at our nails under flashlight.

Banana Ooh La La
Banana Ooh La La is a white based super shifter with pink to gold shifts packed with red to orange to gold shifting flakies and added holo flakies. Shown in 3 coats. This one is super sparkly under direct lighting!

I am a Rock, I am An Onion
I am a Rock, I am An Onion is a red onion colored base with red to orange shifting shimmer. Opaque in 2 coats. As a true red lover, I wasn’t sure how I feel at first, about the pink tone in this. But the more I look at it, the more I love how glowy it is. This one too have a slightly streaky finish.

Am I Just Paranoid of Emma Stone?
While we’re talking about glowy polishes, Am I Just Paranoid of Emma Stone? is a magenta jelly base loaded with aqua to blue to indigo shifting shimmer. Shown in 3 coats. This is one of my top picks from this collection. I will never get tired of magenta base with glowy blue shimmer! Some similar shades that come to my mind include Puppy Kisses (Comfort Colors), Happy Haunting (Falloween Customs), and Bouncy Ballin’ (2023 Polish & Beauty Expo Exclusive). Comparisons are in the back.

Sweet Pair of Limes
Sweet Pair of Limes is a bright lime green jelly base with pink to copper to green shifting shimmer. Shown in 3 coats. This is a very springy green. Such a happy color! Comparison with Enchanted Aura (Aura) and Kitten Purrs (Comfort Colors) is included in the back.

Pie in the Sky With a Lonely Goat Turd
Pie in the Sky With a Lonely Goat Turd is a muted swampy green with copper shimmer. Shown in 3 coats. A prugly (ugly-pretty) shade like this is so perfect for the upcoming fall season. Swipe to see comparison with Oh Look It’s Scowly Face from Our Flag Means Death Pt.2. Pie in the Sky shifts more yellow/copper, while Scowly Face has a green shift. The shimmer particle also seems larger in Scowly Face. Both are very beautiful!

I’m just a Pool Boy From a Pool Family
I’m just a Pool Boy From a Pool Family is a royal blue jelly base with pink to green to blue shifting micro flakie shimmer and added holo flakies. Shown in 3 coats. The shimmers are so pretty, giving out a mermaid vibe! For this one, I’ve included comparison with Scorpio (The Scorpion) (Zodiac), I Only Have Ice For You (Winter Customs) and Kalopsia (Lover of Words Haunted Edition).

What’s Love Dr. Doo… Dr. Doolittle?
Important noticed: It has come to my attention that the polish sold to customers does not match the swatcher batch. According to the maker, this issue has occurred due to a formulation change with the silver magnetic pigment being used here. Although the maker followed the exact same recipe when producing the customer batch, there is a significant discrepancy that has led to many disappointment amongst those who received the end product. LynB Designs has since took the listing down and will not continue to sell this color. If you have bought one and would like a refund, please do not hesitate to reach out to the maker! After careful consideration, I’ve decided to leave my review and swatches up on here for future references. I believe it’s best to leave crumbs for those who will be coming across this polish in the later date, so they could get a full picture of the incident. If you happened to find this post when researching for swatches for destashing purposes, whether it is to buy or to sell one, please be aware that there will be two versions circulating in the second-hand market, the swatcher batch (matching my swatches below), and the customer batch (which will appear much more silver than the swatches below, with the purple base barely visible). (Updated Nov 5th, 2024)
What’s Love Dr. Doo… Dr. Doolittle? is a deep purple base with silver magnetic pull and green to aqua to blue shifting shimmer. On my pointer and ring finger, I have it magnetized into a cat eye look; opaque in 3 coats. The middle finger and pinkie are unmagnetized, and the thumb is velvet look. Both are opaqued in 2 coats. This is another one of my favorite of the collection. It looks magical however you decide to wear it. The velvet look is my absolute favorite!

Juice Box Hero
Last but definitely not least, Juice Box Hero is a juicy berry jelly base with blue to purple shifting shimmer. Opaque in 3 coats. The base is buildable, which means you can wear however more coats you want and it will still look pretty. I’m amazed by how glowy this color is! The base color compliments my skin tone very well. As always, comparison with Existence is Terrifying (May 24′ PPU) and Tenta-Cool (February & July 24′ PPU) is in the back. In the bottle, Juice Box Hero looks super similar with Existence is Terrifying. But on the nails, the former leans more berry with purple-leaning shimmer, while the latter has a more intense, more blue leaning shimmer. For my skin tone, which is warmer, I prefer Juice Box Hero.
