In the upcoming November Polish Pickup, makers are inspired by fairy tales and folklore around the world to create some beauties. I have 3 polishes from 3 makers we all know and love, DRK Nails, LynB Designs, and Wildflower Lacquer, to share with you. Without further ado, cue the swatches!
Watch Out｜DRK Nails
From DRK Nails, inspired by Little Red Riding Hood walking in the woods, Watch Out mixes two different 5D magnetic pigments, large particle size sapphire to violet aurora flakes, and red glitter flakes. Blue, purple, and red are Katia’s favorite colors, so she fell in love with the inspo pic immediately when she saw that. This polish mixes these colors and can be worn magnetized or not. At first I though the aurora flakes are not so noticeable. However, when I take a closer look, there they are! Those tiny blue flecks shinning through the base is so beautiful! Shown in 2 coats.

Foolish Flame｜LynB Designs
From LynB Designs, inspired by the origin of the Jack o’ Lantern and Will o’ the Wisp, Foolish Flame is a burnt orange base with pink to red to orange shifting shimmer. The gold shift of the shimmer makes it look like it’s lit from within! Perfect pumpkin orange. Shown in 3 coats.

Frog & Toad｜Wildflower Lacquer
Last but not least, from Wildflower Lacquer, we have Frog & Toad inspired by Frog & Toad Together. It is an emerald green jelly base with subtle green to blue to purple shifting shimmer. This is a cousin of the beloved Perhaps a Christmas Gourd, and the pair look super festive together. Please note that this will likely stain, so a good base coat is recommended to go with it. Shown in 3 coats.

Polish Pickup is the largest monthly collaboration for indie nail polishes. Based in the US, the shop opens first Friday to the following Monday of every month for pre-order, featuring mostly indie nail polishes, as well as some indie jewelries, lifestyle items, wax melts, nail cares, bath and body cares, etc. The monthly shop will have different theme each month, submitted and voted by Facebook group members three month ahead, based on which all the brands will create a shop exclusive item.
