Happy New Year everyone! Another year comes with another month of Polish Pickup. The theme of January is “Deadly Plants”, which sounds very exciting! I love when the theme is nature inspired, because there will surely bring many unique colors. I have 3 offerings from this month to share with you. Let get straight to it!
I Don’t Have Mushroom For Your Negative Vibes｜Lemming Lacquer
Inspired by psychedelic mushrooms, Cassie from Lemming Lacquer brings us I Don’t Have Mushroom For Your Negative Vibes. It is a reddened violet jelly base adorned with a captivating shift of red to pink to copper to green shimmer, complemented by flakes that seamlessly shift from red to orange to gold. Shown here in 2 coats. The giant flakies reflect the light like fire! On the first coat, I thought it was going to be a 3 coater. But surprisingly, I’m quite happy with how it look in only 2.

Dudley Nudshite｜LynB Designs
Next up, Jennalyn from LynB Designs brings us Dudley Nudshite, a deep berry jelly base filled with green to blue shifting shimmer. It is inspired by deadly nightshade. Jennalyn accidentally called it dudley nudshite one time, and now it’s all she call deadly nightshade. This is not your ordinary multichrome polish! The purple base color makes it pretty unique. My swatches show it in 3 coats, but I would gladly wear it in 2 so that the base color shows through more.

Dark Beauty｜Wildflower Lacquer
Last but not least, Taylor from Wildflower Lacquer brings us Dark Beauty, inspired by wolfsbane. It is a deep navy base with coppery red to gold to green shifting microflake shimmer and linear holo. Shown in 2 coats. I seriously cannot comprehend the beauty of this! The flakies are so colorful, and the holo is just icing on the cake.

Polish Pickup is the largest monthly collaboration for indie nail polishes. Based in the US, the shop opens first Friday to the following Monday of every month for pre-order, featuring mostly indie nail polishes, as well as some indie jewelries, lifestyle items, wax melts, nail cares, bath and body cares, etc. The monthly shop will have different theme each month, submitted and voted by Facebook group members three month ahead, based on which all the brands will create a shop exclusive item.
