Today I have a new-on-here brand to share with you. Meet Whats Up Nails, an indie nail polish brand based in Chandler, Arizona. I have the chance to received their latest holiday collection, Too Cool for School. It is a 6-piece collection featuring multiple different formulas and plenty of holiday spirit. Let’s check them out!

Can’t Unsee

Can’t Unsee is a teal base with small green flash reflective glitter and green to blue iridescent shimmer. Opaque in 2 coats. This is my absolute favorite from the collection! The shimmer and reflective glitter combined makes it super sparkly. Due to the reflective glitters, this does dry a little textured. I’d recommend using a glitter top coat underneath your regular quick dry top coat to smooth out the surface.

Moody Duty

Moody Duty is a bright blue base with blue to purple iridescent shimmer. Opaque in 3 coats. This one somehow appears more blue than it seems in the bottle, but it is still a beautiful color.

Hero Below Zero

Hero Below Zero is a light blue base with clear and light pink iridescent shimmer. Opaque in 3 coats. This one is so winter-y! Reminds me of glacier.

Drippy Days

Drippy Days is a light gray creme. Opaque in 2 coats. It is almost a one-coater, but I think two coats make the mani look more complete.

Sequin Seeker

Sequin Seeker is a neutral gold shimmer with pink to gold iridescent flakies. Opaque in 3 coats. Those iridescent flakies do make this one very unique.

Passion is My Profession

Lastly, Passion is My Profession is a burgundy jelly base with holographic flakies. Shown in 3 coats. The holo flakies and/or bar glitters make it dried a little bumpy. I would recommend using 2 coats of top coat. Believe it or not, this is my first time trying a polish with bar glitters. It is so much fun! I think they made the polish much more festive than it would have been with only regular holo flakies.

Too Cool for School collection is already available on Whats Up Nails’ website. You can get the colors individually, or get the full collection for a discounted price of $65.02. I’ve heard great things about Whats Up Nails, so I’m very happy to have the opportunity to try their products. In my opinion, they have great formula; the polishes are all very easy to apply with their paddle brush. Hope to be able to share with you more from them in the future.
