This summer, ILNP gave us not one, but two collection from their studio color line. I’ve been away on a vacation when the two collection were released, but I still want to get my swatches out. The first collection is Heat Waves, a 6-piece collection consisting of opaque summer-y cremes. Let get right to it!

  1. Cream Pop
  2. Daytrip
  3. Minted
  4. Melted
  5. Oasis
  6. Honeybee

Cream Pop

First up, Cream Pop is a creamy desert orange creme that is opaque in two easy coats. I was pleasantly surprised by the opacity. Since it is a pale orange, I had thought that it would take at least 3 coats. But the formula is very buttery and not patchy at all.

Daytrip

Daytrip is a hot hibiscus pink creme that is opaque in two coats. This color is HOT HOT HOT! I absolutely love this for summer. In the back, I’ve included some similar colors to compare, including Cupid (Lovestruck), Gummy Bear (Candy Coated), Malibu (Watercolor), Pixel Pink (Arcade), Sorbet (Sweet Escape), Summer (Poolside), and Vaporwave (Arcade). Simply put, Summer is the warmest of all. None of them are dupes, but there are differences and nuances. I’ve picked a few to wear side by side so you can see more closely.

Minted

Minted is a bright mint green creme that is opaque in two coats. This one is so refreshing! I’ve included comparison with Mint Chip (Something Sweet). The colors are similar; Mint Chip is a little bit greener. I prefer the formula of Minted as suppose to Mint Chip for opacity.

Melted

Next up Melted, an orchid purple creme that is opaque in 2 coats. This color is surprisingly flattering for yellow skin tone like mine. Comparisons for this one include Holding Hands (Sweetheart), Lolly (Something Sweet), and Strawberry Shake (Something Sweet). They all look pretty different actually!

Oasis

Oasis is a soft turquoise creme, opaque in 2 coats. The opacity of this one also took me by surprise, as a pastel creme like this usually ends up a bit patchy and requires 3 coats to reach opacity. This one dries a tad darker. I can see myself wearing this one a lot during summer!

Honeybee

Last but not least, Honeybee is a soft honeycomb yellow creme, opaque in 2 coats. This one too has an amazing formula. Not patchy at all! Comparison with Milk Tea (Something Sweet) is included in the back.

Heat Waves collection is already available on ILNP’s website. I’m seriously impressed by the formula of ILNP cremes, especially seeing how well the pastels in this collection perform.
