🇺🇸 Lemming Lacquer Dead Boy Detectives Collection

*Products shown are gifted and I am paid to swatch. All opinions are my own.*

I haven’t shared a Lemming Lacquer release in a long time. This year marks the 10 year anniversary of Lemming Lacquer, and they are bring us two add-on polishes throwing back to the very first collection of Lemming Lacquer, as well as a brand new collection. Today I’m sharing the new collection inspired by the Netflix series Dead Boy Detectives. This collection features 9 beautiful new colors in various formula. The collection has already launched today, so let’s get to the swatches!

  1. Edwin
  2. Charles
  3. Crystal Palace
  4. Niko
  5. Jenny Green
  6. The Cat King
  7. Night Nurse
  8. Esther Finch
  9. Monty

Edwin

Starting off with a bomb! Edwin is a black jelly base with bright blue aurora shimmer, holographic microflakes, and a red to bronze to copper to gold magnetic pull. Shown in 2 coats. As always, pointer and ring finger are magnetized into cat eye style; middle finger and pinkie are unmagnetized; thumb is in velvet style. The contrast of warm shimmers with the blue base is absolutely stunning! This one looks amazing however you want to wear it. In the back, I included comparisons with Cosmic Cattitude (May 2024 PPU). They have similar magnetic shifts, but the overall vibe looks quite different.

Charles

Next up, Charles is a deep red jelly base with bright gold aurora shimmer and black microflakes. Shown in 2 coats. I love seeing how the flakies peeking through the jelly base. The comparison in the back includes The Music, The Lights, The Beautiful Flesh (January 2025 PPU), Kady The Warrior (The Magicians), and I Rock and Rule The Wonderland (Curiosities From Wonderland 2025, coming together with this launch). They might be similar color-wise, but in my opinion, none of them are dupes.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace is a new super shifty multichrome seamlessly flowing from purple to pink to red to copper to gold to green in a black jelly base. Shown in 2 coats. This one is very shifty! It’s hard to capture all the colors in one picture. You can see those green shift in the macro. I’ve included comparison with DJ Phanstasmagloria (October 2024 PGB).

Niko

Niko is a white crelly with fuchsia to pink to copper to gold shimmer, holographic microflakes, and red holographic microsparks. Shown in 2 coats. The visible nail line is slightly visible, but I like it, so I didn’t do a 3rd coat. This is such a unique shade, especially with the red glitters.

Jenny Green

Jenny Green is my favorite from this collection. It is a red violet jelly base with bright green aurora shimmer. Shown in 2 coats. It’s a beautiful grungy polish! I’m obsessed with it!

The Cat King

The Cat King is a warm, ochre gold base with a purple to pink magnetic pull. Shown in 2 coats. Pointer and ring finger are magnetized into cat eye style; middle finger and pinkie are unmagnetized; thumb is in velvet style. I think this one looks better in cat-eye style, because the magnetic shimmer looks more prominent. This is a very unique polish.

Night Nurse

Night Nurse is another unique polish. It is described as an emerald jelly base with black to red multichrome flakes and gold holographic microsparks. Shown in 2 coats. This is extremely glittery and sparkly! I have nothing like this in my collection.

Esther Finch

Esther Finch is a new super shifty multichrome seamlessly flowing from copper to gold to green to blue with gold holographic microsparks in a black jelly base. I’ve included comparison with Under The Electron Microscope (March 2025 PPU) in the back. Swipe to see if you’re interested.

Monty

Last but to least, Monty is a black jelly base with bright blue to electric blue violet shimmer and silver holographic microsparks. The sparkle is subtle and delicate. For comparisons, I’ve included Gryla 2023 (Better Watch Out 2023). They are both sparkly dark blue but with different formula.
