Hey everyone! Cassie from Lemming Lacquer is bring us a stunning quad for Black Friday, and I have the swatches to share with you. Better Watch Out 2023 consists of 4 colors inspired by the dark winter creatures of European folklore. Cassie originally released a quad with the same name back in 2015, but she felt that the ingredients she have back then didn’t allow her to fully express her artistic vision of these. So she created this revamp edition to bring all her ideas into reality.
Krampus 2023
Krampus 2023 has a deep blackened red jelly base with gold holographic sparks and multichrome shifting from inky black to foreboding maroon to fiery crimson. This is inspired by the dark Christmas creature Krampus, who punishes naughty children by swatting them with birch rods. The truly evil children get thrown into Krampus’ bag and carted off to Hell. You may have seen a lot of vampy reds, but the holo glitter in this one gives it an extra touch of uniqueness. Shown in 2 coats.

Perchta 2023
Perchta 2023 is an evergreen forest holographic with shimmer that shifts from serene cyan to deep sapphire. This is inspired by the winter goddess Perchta who rewards children who worked hard all year with a small silver coin and punishes lazy and lying children. The holo effect of this one is very prominent. Such a perfect green for the upcoming holiday seasons! Shown in 2 coats.

Gryla 2023
Gryla 2023 is a midnight blue holographic with frosty silver holographic sparks and shimmer that shifts from chilling sapphire to foreboding violet. It is inspired by the Icelandic giantess Gryla who has an appetite for mischievous children whom she cooks in a large pot. Those beautiful holo sparkles reminds me of the stars twinkling in the night sky. Shown in 2 coats.

Yule Cat 2023
Yule Cat 2023 has an inky jelly base with holographic microflakes, silver holographic sparks, and silver magnetic pull. It is inspired by the huge and vicious Yule Cat who lurks about the snowy countryside during Christmas time, and eats people who haven’t received any new clothes to wear before Christmas Eve. Shown here in 2 coats with the middle finger and the pinkie unmagnetized. The thumb is magnetized into a velvet look. This is my absolute favorite of the quad! I especially love the velvet look it’s able to achieve. The effect is so gorgeous with so much depth that is normally only available using gel polishes. I highly recommend picking this one up!
