Catching up on a November collection from LynB Designs. This is Misheard Lyrics Pt.3, featuring 9 new shades, all with names that would make you laugh. One thing I love about LynB Designs is that their collections usually stay stocked for a long while, so you can take your time to plan your budget without feeling forced by FOMO. That’s why although this collection was launched back in November, I figure I can still share my swatches with you. Let’s take a look at them pretties!

Got What It Takes to Make the Muffin Man Leave His Home
Got What It Takes to Make the Muffin Man Leave His Home is a deep plum base with copper to gold shifting shimmer, inspired by “When the Levee Breaks” by Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, shown in 2 coats. This one is slightly streaky. I’d recommend not over-working it so the streaks stay clean. I wasn’t a huge fan of streaky, pearlescent finish before, because I feel like they look kind of cheap? But the LynB ones changed my mind. They have a very unique sheen that elevates the whole look.

I’m Workin’ Late, Cuz I’m a Pinworm
I’m Workin’ Late, Cuz I’m a Pinworm is a buildable light blue base with green to blue shifting shimmer and silver reflective glitter, inspired by “Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter, shown in 3 coats. I believe this one has the same formula as the Pick & Mix collection, which is super sparkly with those reflective glitters. It might dried slightly textured, so if you want a smooth finish, add an extra coat of top coat or glitter top coat will do the trick.

Green Beans in the Passenger Seat
Green Beans in the Passenger Seat is a dark blue to purple to green thermal base with gold to green shifting flakies and added holo micro shreds, inspired by “Casual| by Chappell Roan, shown in 3 coats. I haven’t used a tri-thermal in a very long time! I’m not even sure if I still have any. This one is so fun! It’s definitely an eye-catcher during winter.

Your Own Personal Cheeses is a warms mustard base with blue to indigo shifting shimmer and light yellow glow in the dark, inspired by “Personal Jesus” by Depeche Mode, Shown in 3 coats. I’ve included my swatches of Get Lost (Anti-Valentine’s Quad) and Go Fish (Anti-Valentine’s Quad) for comparisons.

There Were Clowns in My Coffee
There Were Clowns in My Coffee is a warm brown base with golden magnetic pull and gold to green to blue shifting shimmer, inspired by “You’re So Vain” by Carly Simon. Shown in 2 coats. The pointer and the ring finger are in cat-eye style; the middle finger and the pinkie are unmagnetized; the thumb is in black-hole/velvet style. This is such a unique shade! The vintage gold looks kind of luxurious. You wouldn’t want to miss it if you’re a prugly polish lover.

Kumquats are Juicy and Not Furry
Kumquats are Juicy and Not Furry is a peach to white thermal filled with orange and red micro flakies, inspired by “Wolf Totem” by The HU, shown in 2 coats. This is another one of my favorites! I’m in my flakie crelly era and this one is super cute! For comparisons, I’ve included Scarf n’ Barfer (Coco’s Office Takeover) in the back.

Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin’ Some Butter
Lovin, Touchin, Squeezin Some Butter is a violet base filled with peach to green to blue shifting micro flakies and scattered holo sparkle, inspired by “Lovin’ Touchin’ Squeezin’” by Journey, shown in 3 coats. I love the different sized flakies. They remind me of kaleidoscope. I’ve included swatches of Better Lake Than Never (PBE 2023 Doorbuster) and Cosmic Whisper (Aura) in the back for comparison.

My Heart is a Gallstone
Last but not least, My Heart is a Gallstone is a dark magenta base with pink to orange shifting shimmer, inspired by “Ghost Town” by Adam Lambert. Shown in 2 coats, but it’s almost a one-coater. I’ve included a bunch of comparisons in the back, including Malefic (Lover of Words Haunted Edition), Cancer (The Crab) (Zodiac), Ruby Chocolate (Chocolate Box), Stolen Kiss (POTM Feb 2025), I am a Rock, I am an Onion (Misheard Lyrics Pt.2), Raspberry (Birthday Truffles), and It’s a Fall-Nomenon (PPU Oct 2024). The most similar of the bunch is Stolen Kiss; Stolen Kiss has a slightly darker base.
