🇺🇸 Cartoons – June 2024 Polish Pickup

*Products shown are gifted/paid in exchange for swatches. All opinions are my own.*

I don’t know about you, but the four colors I’m swatching this PPU looks so pretty together! Theme of June’s Polish Pickup is “Cartoons”. This time I have offerings from Lemming Lacquer, LynB Designs, PI Colors, and Wildflower Lacquer to share with you. Let’s go!

  1. Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice|Lemming Lacquer
  2. Ain’t That Just The Way|LynB Designs
  3. Alstroemeria.000|PI Colors
  4. Yippee Skippee!|Wildflower Lacquer

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice|Lemming Lacquer

First up, inspired by the Beetlejuice animated series, Lemming Lacquer brings us Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice. It is described as a light purple with red to copper to gold shifting shimmer and black microflakes. Shown in 3 coats but 2 coats is enough for opacity. I am obsessed with this color! Something about that black flakies really elevate the polish and make it very unique!

Ain’t That Just The Way|LynB Designs

Next up, from LynB Designs, we have Ain’t That Just The Way. It is described as a pale blue base with intense red copper to orange/gold shifting shimmer, inspired by the mini cartoon series “Over the Garden Wall”. Opaque in 3 coats. This is a beautiful, glowy pearlescent polish. I know pearlescent finish is not everyone’s favorite. You’ll have to be careful with the last few stroke in order to get that nice, clean streaks. If the streaks bothers you, you can use a dotting tool to drag swirls on your nails to get a beautiful pearl design.

Alstroemeria.000|PI Colors

Next we have Alstroemeria.000 from PI Colors. This is a peachy pink with red gold green shimmer. Opaque in 3 coats. It is inspired by Taiga from “Toradora!”. It’s a beautiful springy color. Unlike most oranges, this one actually looks flattering on yellow skin tone.

Yippee Skippee!|Wildflower Lacquer

Lastly, from Wildflower Lacquer, we have Yippee Skippee! inspired by Miss Piggy from the Muppet. She has always Been Taylor’s favorite. It is describe as a very light delicate pink base with strong pink to orange to gold shifting shimmer. I love how delicate this pink is! It is giving a “your-nails-but-better” look.

Wow! They are all stunning and dare I say the pearlescent one might be my fav! The streaks don’t bother me if the polish technique is carefully done.

Exactly! I used to not like pearlescent polishes but now it’s growing on me. This LynB is probably the most glowy one I’ve seen.
